Follow these instructions to set up your own domain for your marketplace when using ClouDNS as your registrar. You will need to configure your DNS records and make your domain name point to Sharetribe servers. Note that it may take up to 48 hours before these changes work across the internet.
After your DNS settings have been updated, visit the "General / Domain" page on your Admin panel to check them and start using your custom domain.

Please note that the following instructions only apply to marketplaces under a Pro or above subscription.
Instructions for a www subdomain
Follow these instructions to set up your marketplace at a domain like http://www.mymarketplacedomain.com. If you want to use another subdomain (like http://marketplace.mydomain.com), jump down a bit for instructions on how to use other subdomains.
Open your ClouDNS settings
Log in to your ClouDNS account. The address depends on your country.
Open the "ClouDNS Dashboard".
Select your domain.
On the right-hand side, click on "DNS records".
Configure the DNS records for your domain
Open the "CNAME" tab and go over the existing "CNAME" records.
If there is a "CNAME" record with "subdomain" set as "
www
", edit it and set "Points to" to "proxy.sharetribe.com
". Keep TTL as is.If no "CNAME" record has "
www
" as "subdomain", click "Add a new record". Fill in the following fields: "subdomain" with "www
", "Points to" with "proxy.sharetribe.com
" and leave TTL as is.Click Update. You should see a confirmation and success message.
Make sure that all changes have been saved.
Instructions for other subdomains
If you want to set up your marketplace at a subdomain like http://market.mydomain.com (as opposed to http://www.mymarketplace.com), follow these instructions.
Open your ClouDNS settings
Log in to your ClouDNS account. The address depends on your country.
Open the "ClouDNS Dashboard".
Select your domain.
On the right-hand side, click on "DNS records".
Configure the DNS records for your subdomain
Open the "CNAME" tab and go over the existing "CNAME" records.
If there is a "CNAME" record with "subdomain" set as the desired subdomain, edit it and set "Points to" to "
proxy.sharetribe.com
". Keep TTL as is.If no "CNAME" record has the desired subdomain as "subdomain", click "Add a new record". Fill in the following fields: "subdomain" with what you want your subdomain to be, "Points to" with "
proxy.sharetribe.com
" and leave TTL as is.Click Update. You should see a confirmation and success message.
Make sure that all changes have been saved.
