What are the differences between trial, Hobby, Pro, and other plans

Updated over a week ago

To test Sharetribe and see if it fits your project, you can use it freely with a trial before moving forward with a paid plan.

Plans offer different sets of features. Some plans have been discontinued, but you may still have an active subscription to one of them.

Free 30-day trial

The best way to test how Go works is to create your marketplace at Sharetribe Go product page. It takes less than a minute and is completely free for 30 days, giving you plenty of time to try things out!

You can test everything in your trial. There are only a few limitations:

  • no custom domain (your marketplace address will be like yourproject.sharetribe.com)

  • no customized outgoing sender email address (emails from your marketplace will be sent from "Sharetribe notifications <notifications@sharetribe.io>")

  • no possibility to remove Sharetribe's branding (the Sharetribe name will appear in pages and emails).

All other settings and features, such as online payment systems, account creations, and reviews, are the same as in the paid plans, so give it a try!ย

A trial marketplace is available for free for 30 days.

Hobby plan

The Hobby plan removes the trial expiration date from your marketplace. As with the trial, all features are available except for a few limitations:

  • no custom domain (your marketplace address will be like yourproject.sharetribe.com)

  • no customized outgoing sender email address (emails from your marketplace will be sent from "Sharetribe notifications <notifications@sharetribe.io>")

  • no possibility to remove Sharetribe's branding (the Sharetribe name will appear in pages and emails).

A Hobby marketplace can have up to 100 user accounts.

Pro plan

The Pro plan offers all features, including whitelabelling. White label means you can use your own branding. On top of the features available with the Hobby plan, you'll have your marketplace at your own domain (like www.yourmarketplacewebsite.com). You'll be able to define your own marketplace address as the outgoing sender email, and all Sharetribe's branding will automatically be removed.

With the Pro plan, the name Sharetribe doesn't appear anywhere. A Pro marketplace can have up to 1000 user accounts.

Growth plan

The Growth plan contains all the same features and white-label setup as the Pro plan. It also allows you to have more users in your marketplace.

Pro marketplace can have up to 10,000 user accounts.

Scale plan

The Scale plan contains all the same features and white-label setup as the Growth plan. It also allows you to have more users in your marketplace.

Pro marketplace can have up to 100,000 user accounts.

Hold plan

The Hold plan allows you to secure your work if you need to pause your project. Your marketplace is not accessible to anyone while it's on hold. Still, all its data will stay intact, so you can continue operating your marketplace at any point by subscribing to one of our active plans.

What is the pricing?

The trial is completely free for 30 days. You can find complete information on Sharetribe pricing here.

Starter plan (discontinued)

The Starter plan is no longer available but to users who subscribe to it before it was discontinued.

If you have this plan, you can keep it as long as you want and the new prices will not be automatically applied so that you can benefit from your current pricing.

The Starter plan removes any expiration date to your marketplace and removes all Sharetribe branding.

A Starter marketplace can have up to 300 user accounts.
